OUR BIOFUEL PLANT, THE LARGEST IN SOUTHERN EUROPE
We created a joint venture with Bio-Oils to construct this new 2G biofuel plant to jumpstart and ensure our customers’ decarbonization.
The plant will produce 500,000 tons of SAF and renewable diesel that will contribute to the decarbonization of land, sea, and air transport.
Thanks to the biofuel supply, 1.5 million tons of CO2 emissions will be avoided per year, equivalent to 20% of the emissions of the province of Huelva.
This plant is located in our "La Rábida" Energy Park in Palos de la Frontera (Huelva).
It requires an investment of 1 billion euros, which will generate 2,000 direct and indirect jobs during construction and operation.
